New track: Borders of the Mind

I've finally managed to finish another song. I'm ridiculously pleased with it and you can download it here: Borders of the Mind. The server is rather slow, but I urge you to be patient.

Right now I'm listening a lot to Lamb of God, Chimaira and metal of that kind. I usually tend to dismiss growlers but the music compensates. Any tips of bands I might have missed due to this vocal style are appreciated. Or is it so that LoG and Chimaira are the best in their genre?

It pleases me immensely to read your post! I've put more effort into the production and I'm glad you noticed.

Thank you, it's so nice to find new great music from you, i especally love your stop-and-go riffs in several of your songs, such as Binary Creed, Coward and Too Late, andthe riff in "Borders of the Mind" is perhaps the best of them all! Can't wait for your next song!

Glad you liked it, Nikos!

There are plenty of great bands with unclean vocals. I don't like the two that you mentioned -- generally I'm not big into this American Metalcore phenomenon. It's very big over here and it all seems entirely too generic and formulaic. A great metalcore band would be Dead to Fall, though (mostly their first album, Everything I Touch Falls to Pieces). Aside from metalcore, one of my favorite bands with growls would be Nile, as well as Suffocation.

i'm just listening to your architect-album and i've to admit that it's one of the best "power"-metal-cds (sorry, i call it this way) i own. i realized that i didn't hear anything of you in the metalzines for all the last years (though i've to say, that i don't read them that thoroughly) and so i finally discovered your website here.
after i heard several years some of all that power-metal stuff i listened more and more to thrash and death metal. the best i have discovered for years is the (let's call it) "progressive-death metal"-band disillusion. so if you don't mind growls (besides clear vocals) check this one out. (ever tried neurosis, orphaned land, hollenthon and these ones?) to bad that people prefer that commercial shit in the radio, without knowing there's so much great music - let it be metal, classical, folk or jazz.

To lutz: Thanks for your comment and the tip about Disillusion. From what I could hear from their web site, it sounds good. Reminds me a bit of Danish Invocator.
